BAR HARBOR – Dorothy B. Coffin, 73, died Feb. 4, 2005, at Maine Coast Medical Center in Ellsworth, with her two daughters by her side. She was born June 9, 1931, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of R. Wesley and Edith Boynton. Dottie was a hotel owner for many years before her retirement. She was more recently a docent at the Norton Gallery in Palm Beach, Fla., where she enjoyed sharing her knowledge and love of art with others. She enjoyed playing bridge, doing daily crossword puzzles and participating in the local literary guild. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy D’Agostino and her husband, Scott Haseltine and Stacey Rahm and her husband, Steve. Additional survivors include two grandsons, Chad Carpenter and Jeremy Rahm; and a great-grandson, Quentin Carpenter. A celebration of her life will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at the Rodick-Lorraine Community Room. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jesup Memorial Library, 34 Mt.
