BELFAST – Dorothy C. McDuff, 73, died Oct. 18, 2003, at a Belfast healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 2, 1930, at Worcester, Mass. She was a member of The Sisters of Notre Dame, and studied education. She taught third grade in Maryland schools. After leaving the order, she married Lucien McDuff. During their married life they lived in five different states. In her mid life she returned to college, where she studied art. She was an avid Gardener and rock wall builder. Dorothy was predeceased by one son, Peter D. McDuff. Besides her husband, Lucian of Belfast, she is survived by two sons, Mark McDuff and Thomas McDuff of Beverly, Mass.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert “Miriam” Baker of Manchester, Mass. Her four grandchildren were the delight of her life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belfast, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, with Father Cris Piselli as celebrant.
