DOVER-FOXCROFT – Dorothy Crossman Lewis, 81, wife of Donald Lewis, died Dec. 16, 2004, at her residence. She was born Nov. 23, 1923, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Raymond and Martha (Smith) Crossman. A 1942 graduate of Foxcroft Academy, she had been employed at Guilford Woolen Mill for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, her cat, and caring for her family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald of Dover-Foxcroft; two sons, Richmond and his wife, Pauline, of New Gloucester, Mark and his wife, Judy, of Monson; a daughter, Roxie and her husband, Andy Burachansky of New Jersey; a sister, Mary Chase of Gray; two half-brothers, George Crossman of Dover-Foxcroft, Paul “Rusty” Crossman of Swans Island; a sister-in-law, Joanne and her husband, Delbert Flood of Newport; a brother-in-law, Larry Lewis of Florida; eight grandchildren, Glen and his wife, Shari Gottlieb, of New Jersey, Melissa and her husband, Jeff Quick, of New Jersey, Joshua and his wife, Gina Lewis, of Casco, Jessica and her husband, Adam Frye, of Naples, Jeffrey Lewis of Massachusetts, Jeremy Lewis of Casco, Elizabeth Lewis of Rhode Island, Christopher Lewis of Monson; four great-grandchildren, Zachary Gottlieb of New Jersey, Preston Frye of Naples, Emily Quick and Keiren Quick, both of New Jersey; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Harriet Harmon; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Burgess; a half-sister, Marilynn Ruth Chauvenne; three brothers-in-law, Richard Chase, Winston Harmon, and Glen Burgess. Friends are invited to call from noon until time of service at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck officiating. Spring interment will be in the Dover Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to either Pine Tree Hospice, 897 W.
