DEER ISLE – Dorothy D. MacDonald, 89, wife of the late James C. MacDonald, died peacefully Nov. 3, 2007, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born May 9, 1918, in New York, N.Y., the daughter of Cornelius and Catherine (McGrath) Desmond. A funeral service will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 9 Thurlow’s Hill Road, Route 15, Stonington, with Harry Vickerson officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Sunset. The family invites relatives and friends to share in conversation and refreshments after the services at Edgewood Farm.
