BANGOR and VAN BUREN Dorothy “Dottie” Anne Stewart, 60, died July 13, 2007, after a two year courageous battle with leukemia. She was born Feb. 21, 1947, in Van Buren, the daughter of Richard B. and Yvette (Saucier) Stewart. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Van Buren, Class of 1965. After graduation, she worked for SAD 24 as a secretary for the superintendent of schools. She later attended Mansfield Beauty Academy and graduated in 1974. Dottie worked as a beautician in the Bangor area for a few years. Then in 1980 she went to work for Eastern Maine Medical Center/Affiliated Labs and worked there for 25 years. She retired January 2006, due to illness. Surviving are her son, Mark R. Stewart and his companion, Nichole Parker, of Waterville; a granddaughter, Madisyn; her mother of Van Buren; two sisters, Kathleen Beaulieu and her husband, Robert J., of Van Buren and Cindy Martel and her husband, Donald, of Auburn; nephew, Jeff Beaulieu and his wife, Stacey and their sons, Tristin and Colin, of Milo; two nieces, Jill Beaulieu of Fort Kent and Tracy Barnies and her son, Gage Doucette, of Auburn; godmother and aunt, Alda Soucy of Van Buren; other aunts, Diane Stewart of Van Buren and Betty Allain of Madison; several cousins and many close friends. Dottie was predeceased by her father. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor. Another Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at St. Bruno’s-St. Remi’s Catholic Church, Van Buren. Interment will be at St. Bruno’s-St. Remi’s Cemetery, Van Buren.
