CALAIS – Dorothy E. Kelly, 78, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 5, 1926, at Calais hospital the daughter of Warren and Winnifred (Glidden) Bailey. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church of Calais and the American Legion Auxiliary. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence B. Kelly; a son, Bernard Eugene Kelly; sisters, Ruth V. Bailey and Thelma Bailey; brothers, Harold, Charles, Henry and Warren “Beetle” Bailey; and a special nephew, Justin. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah McFarlane of Calais and Vicki MacLeod and husband, Ross, of Tower Hill; six grandchildren, Kelli and her husband, Martin, Troy, Kim and her husband, Delton, Wendy, Mark and Adam; four great-grandchildren, Tangie, Dillon, Sarah, and Michael; a special niece, Sara; special cousin, Dora Mae; and several sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Calais with the Very Rev. Mark Nolette celebrant. Burial will follow in Calais Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to CHCS Hospice, PO Box 339A, Machias, ME 04654.
