MILBRIDGE – Dorothy E. Fickett, beloved wife of Earl K. Fickett, went peacefully to be with her Lord Sept. 27, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Milbridge, the daughter of the late Capt. George Washington Eldridge and Lucy Mae (Wilson) Eldridge. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She shared 63 years of marriage with Earl K. Fickett of Milbridge. In addition to her husband, family members include her daughter, Jeanette Caroline and her husband, Larry D. Smith, of Winter Harbor; her grandson, Larry D. Smith Jr. of Winter Harbor; her granddaughter, Nancy Elizabeth Pike and husband, Douglas, of Winslow; three great-grand-children, Derek James of Winter Harbor, Elizabeth Grace and Laura Mae of Winslow; a brother, Douglas J. Eldridge of Milbridge; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and eight brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge. Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Back Bay Road, Milbridge, with Pastor Ambrose Rolfe officiating.
