CAMDEN – Dorothy G. Jones, 93, of Camden, died Monday, July 11, 2005, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center. Born May 15, 1912, in Lynn, Mass., she was the daughter of Lester E. and Gertrude (Maynard) Goodwin. In 1941, she married Vincent C. Jones. He died Sept. 9, 1961. Prior to her marriage Mrs. Jones worked in a hat factory, in a cigar factory, and as a beautician. After moving to Richmond, in 1945, she later became a pharmacist’s assistant. After her husband died in 1961, Mrs. Jones took over her husband’s business and was self-employed as a real estate and insurance agent. Retiring in 1975, Mrs. Jones moved to Camden and managed her apartment building. She was a member of the Down East Jazz Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She attended Senior College at the Hutchinson Center in Belfast. Surviving is her son, Rendle A. Jones and his wife, Patricia K., of Camden; and two grandchildren, Kimberley DePaolo and Vincent R.
