BANGOR – Dorothy Trott passed away Jan. 29, 2004 at a local healthcare facility. She was born Aug. 13, 1907, in Hermon, the daughter of Eugene and Minnie Brown. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Richard C. Trott. She is survived by her son, Richard C. Trott Jr. and his wife, Alice, of Brewer; three grandchildren, Richard C. Trott III of Bangor, Leslie Trott of Brewer, Tiffany Trott-Yordan and her husband, Carlos, of Manlius, N.Y.; and a sister, Geraldine Plezia of Brunswick. Dorothy attended Bangor High School and Farmington, Normal School, now the University of Maine at Farmington and was a 70-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Hermon. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the kindness and care given Dorothy during her stay at the facility. A private funeral service will be held Monday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, chaplain of Husson College, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. Those who wish may make gifts in her memory to the Clara Swan Scholarship Fund, care of Husson College, 1 College Circle, Bangor, ME 04401.
