CAMPBELL SR. LINCOLN – Douglas Wayne Campbell Sr., 64, husband of the late Elizabeth (Clements) Campbell, died March 20, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born June 24, 1942, in Lincoln, the son of Harold and Verlie (Dow) Campbell. Doug owned and operated his own woods business for more than 40 years. He loved trucks. He was a charter member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed family get-togethers, campfires, family and friends, the hunting camp and he loved to go on vacation. He loved life and always wanted to help other people. He is survived by two children, Kimberly Batchelder and Troy, and Douglas Campbell Jr., all of Howland; two grandchildren, Kortni and Lacee Batchelder; his fianc?e, Diana McKechnie of Lincoln and her two daughters, Karen Albert and Susan Crawford; sister-in-law, Dorene Spencer and Percy; brother-in-law, Howard Clements and Betty; niece, Andrea Smith and Tooty of Enfield and their children, Ashlee MacDonald and Opie, and Katelyn Smith. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Clayton Crocker officiating. Interment will be later in the spring at Gould’s Ridge Cemetery, Passadumkeag. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in his memory to a charity of choice.
