LOS ANGELES, Calif. and BANGOR – Duane “D-Dog” E. Porter, 45, died Jan. 2, 2006, at his home of heart failure. He was born June 25, 1960, in Los Angeles, Calif. He struggled with cancer of the eye. He loved fishing, camping and being out in the Maine woods. He is survived by his mother, Martha Naomi Stagemyer Porter of Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, James Clifford Porter Jr., Donald Raymond Porter Sr. and Terrence Joseph Porter; one sister, Sharon Lee Porter, all of California.; his loving girlfriend and best friend of six years, Candy Moro of Bangor; one niece, Dayna Farias and three nephews, Donald Raymond Porter Jr., Robert Eric Porter and Adam Farias, all of California. He is also survived by one son, Justin Porter who’s been adopted by a loving family. In addition to his family he was predeceased by his father, James Clifford Porter Sr. in 1995; a brother, Robert Preston Porter. While residing in Bangor, Duane made many friends who cared about him a lot and he will be sadly missed.
