FREEPORT – Durese E. Beattie, 64, of East Street, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at the Freeport Nursing Center. She was born Oct. 23, 1940, in Dexter, the daughter of Andrew and Marion Richards Martin, and attended Dexter schools. She was predeceased by a son, Chris Albair. Durese is survived by four children, Jamie Gillam, Cyndie Jason, Dana Albair, and Allen Albair; six sisters, Lema Cole, Agnes Dyer, Rowena Roberts, Mona Lambert, Gertrude Lawler, and Nellie Martin; a brother, Ralph Martin; six grandchildren, Nickole, James, Tracy, Sarah, Shaun, and Adonia; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Trey. Visiting hours will be 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State St., Portland, where a funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Eric Kelley will officiate. Burial will be at Forest City Cemetery, South Portland.
