WYTOPITLOCK – Earl L. “Biddy” Springer, 79, husband of the late Dorothy (Mich-aud) Springer, died Aug. 11, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born March 7, 1925, in Wytopitlock, the son of Charles and Tam (Brooks) Springer. Earl served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946. He was a signalman in the Navy and spent a lot of time on the USS Missoula. He worked in the woods in Maine, and later worked in Connecticut, as a tool and dye man. He is survived by a loving son, Clayton Springer of Bangor; a loving daughter, Bonnie Strout of Pearland, Texas; a sister, Beatrice Husband of Texas; five grandchildren, Doug, Ted, Robert, Lori and Tanya; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Earl was lucky to love and be loved by Kathy Richardson. In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he was predeceased by four brothers, Vinal, Arnold, Harland and Clayton; and one sister, Vivian Hoar. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2004, at Wytopitlock Cemetery, with the Rev. Duane Waite officiating.
