ANSON and LITTLETON and SATSUMA, Fla. – Earle R. Adair, 80, of Anson died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Redington-Fairview General Hospital, Skowhegan. He was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Littleton, the son of Elmer and Mazie (McCordic) Adair. He married the former Noreen Belyea in 1946. Earle was an engineer working for the B & A Railway. He was an avid bowler and loved to travel, especially on his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Noreen Adair; his children, Roberta Burtt of Anson, Janet Grant of East Millinocket, Harriet Gray of North Pond, Fla., Riki Adair of Alta Loma, Calif., Nancy Adair of Chamberlin, S.D., Sue Breniser and Mary Adair, both of Morena Valley, Calif., Joan Catalina of Dexter, N.Y., and Raeburn Adair of Tamms, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will take place in the spring at Littleton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
