MILLINOCKET – Earlene M. Vaznis, 75, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Millinocket, the daughter of George G. and Geraldene A. (Davis) Walters. She was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. She married Robert L. Vaznis Aug. 19, 1951, in Hamilton, N.J. “Earl” was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a lover of books, camp and her boat rides. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert L. “Sonny” Vaznis Sr. of Millinocket; her children, Steven Frank and wife, Patty Vaznis, of Millinocket, Robert Lee Jr. and wife, Jodi Vaznis, also of Millinocket, Joyce Adel and husband, Michael Landry, of Medway, Timothy George Vaznis and companion, Heather Morrison, of Millinocket; four grandchildren, Faith Marie and husband, Greg Currier, Jesse Michael and wife, Kaci Landry, Brian Lee Landry and Tara Lee Vaznis; four great-grandchildren, Jazmin Marie Landry, Jayden Lee Landry, Mitchel Alexander Currier and Addison Gail Currier; two brothers, Robert Neal Walters of Brick, N.J. and William Edward Walters, also of New Jersey; two sisters, Margarette Ann Elanor Freeman of Florida, Geraldene McPhearson of Dixmont; and a favorite cousin and best friend, Ann Cotton. Earl will also be missed by her favorite pet, Bruno. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
