CORINTH – Eddie L. Eberly, 72, the husband of Dorothy (Goff) Eberly, died Sept. 9, 2005, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor, after a long illness. He was born May 16, 1933, in Columbia City, Ind., the son of Joseph and Beatrice (Boyd) Eberly. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Air National Guard for 30 years. Surviving in addition to his wife of Corinth are five children, Karen Markham and her husband, Thomas, of Pittston, Cindy Dauphinee and her husband, Joseph, of Bangor; a son, Christopher of Connecticut, Lori Modery and her husband, Gordon, of Bangor, and Lynn Eberly, of Bangor; a sister, Sandra Booker and her husband, Harold, of South Carolina; a brother, Leon Eberly and his wife, Sandra, of Michigan; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a special aunt and uncle, Fred and Jean Ott of Indiana. Friends may call 1 p.m. Monday until time of services at 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Rd., Corinth, with the Rev. Ronald E. Libby officiating. Cremation will be at Mount Hope Crematory, Bangor, with burial in Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth, at a later date.
