HAMPDEN – Edgar “Ed” Davis, 63, died peacefully June 29, 2006, surrounded by his family at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 5, 1943, the son of Donald and Grace Davis. Ed was a native of Plaistow, N.H. He moved with his wife and daughter to Hampden, where they resided for the last 20 years. He was employed by Linnehan’s Auto Sales for many years. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Margaret S. Davis; his only daughter, Julie Davis and her fiance, Greg Kenney, of Bangor; two sons, Jerry Davis and his wife, Michelle, of New Hampshire and Jeffrey Davis and his wife, Alicia, of New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Alicia, Michael and Alexandrea; his siblings, Grace Ireland of New Hampshire, Janice Lanier and her husband, Larry, of Florida, Donnie Davis and his wife, Mirta, of North Carolina. Ed will be greatly missed by many family members and friends including Sally and Frank Follansbee, the Naults, the Nelsons, the Kenneys, Galen and Scarlet Emery and all his friends at Linnehan’s and Jumping Jack’s Daycare. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Davis; his natural mother, Beatrice Blaisdell; his grandmother, Honey Davis; his aunt, Polly Keezer; and his brother-in-law, Bill Ireland. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 2, at the Church of the Open Door, 270 Main Rd., Hampden.
