LINCOLN – Edith May Gerry, 88, beloved wife of the late William E. Gerry, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Orono, the daughter of John Wesley and Beatrice (Spencer) Lyle. Gram enjoyed camping in her younger days, and listening and dancing to country music. She was loved dearly by her family, especially her precious grandchildren, and they will cherish wonderful memories of her. Edith is survived by a daughter and three sons, Paul and Barbara Gerry of Rockland and family, Scott and Vickie Gerry, Kyle, Matthew, Jonathan, Dawn and Steve Pelletier, Michelle and Mark, Mikayla, Tyler, Michael, Meagan, Paul; Sharon and Jeff Jordan, Blakelee, Sam; Linda Jordan of Howland and family, Laurie and Mark Rufo, Rickey, Charity, Courtney, Jennifer, Heather and James, Christopher; Lorna and Kenton Drost, Alicia and Travis, Sharon, Holly and Emmett, Lyndsay; Ray and Kathy Jordan; John and Patty Jordan, John Jr., Dakotah; Mike and Linda Gerry of Lincoln and family, Patti and Glenn Thurlow, Anthony, Zachary; Skip and Melissa Gerry, Victoria, Ethan, Preston; Kathi and Kevin McPhee, Eliza, Ben, Rob and Kari Dudley Gerry; Susanne Gerry; Bill Gerry and his fianc?e, Betty Jordan, of Lincoln and family, Renee Gerry, Katelynn, Tristan, Travis Gerry, Tyler, Zachary; Samantha and Danny, Camerun and Morgan. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill; an infant daughter, Constance Ann; and her brothers, Wilmer, Erland, Wesley and Herbie Lyle and two brothers in infancy, Roland and Robert. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 2, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the activities fund at Cummings’ Healthcare Facility.
