SEABROOK, N.H. and GROVE CITY, Fla. – Edwin F. Wilder, 86 passed away Jan. 13, 2004, in Englewood, Fla. Mr. Wilder was born in Somersworth, N.H., son of William and Lillian (Spofford) Wilder. As a young man, Mr. Wilder was employed in the Portsmouth shipyards. He spent most of his working years in the hotel industry, retiring in 1995 after 32 years as transportation manager of the Gasparilla Inn, Boca Grande, Fla. Mr. Wilder was a member of Strafford Masonic Lodge No. 29 of Dover, N.H. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Boca Grande and served the church as a deacon. A memorial service was held at the church, Feb. 5, 2004. Mr. Wilder is survived by his wife of 23 years, Victoria Dolan Wilder; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Josefina Wilder of Somersworth; two nephews, Edwin Wilder of Ossipee, N.H. and David Wilder of Boca Grande, Fla. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Millinocket Cemetery with Pastor Mark York officiating. Local arrangements by R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, Millinocket.
