HERMON – Elaine Ann (Hemberg) St. Louis, 76, wife of Harold F. St. Louis, passed away peacefully Aug. 7, 2006, surrounded by her family at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born June 9, 1930, in Hermon, the daughter of Herbert H. and Dorothy (Thayer) Hemberg. Elaine was a lifelong resident of Hermon and was a graduate of Hermon High School, Class of 1948. She worked for 25 years at Eastern Trust and Banking Co. of Bangor. Elaine was branch manager of the Bangor office and later worked for J.F. Singleton Co. as a bookkeeper. Elaine is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold of Hermon; one son, Dale T. St. Louis and his wife, Terry, of Etna; and one daughter, Debra Jean Wiggin and her husband, Steven, of Hermon; one brother, Clinton Hemberg and his wife, Lucille, of Florida; five grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Wiggin and Brady, Cole and Meagen St. Louis; a special niece, Clintine Steele of Florida; and one aunt, Arvilla Delano of Eddington. A graveside service for family will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, Diesel Shop Road, Hermon, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of the Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hermon Volunteer Rescue Squad, 262 Billings Rd., Hermon, ME 04401.
