DEXTER – Eleanor K. Hall, 97, died June 15, 2007, after a brief illness, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born July 13, 1909, the daughter of Warren S. and Caroline (Kemp) Kane. She graduated from Shead Memorial High School, Farm-ington Normal School, and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maine in 1932 and a master’s degree from the University of Maine in 1965. She was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the Josselyn Botanical Society of Maine and the Stewardship Committee of the Nature Conservancy. She taught grade school in Eastport, Norridgewock and Garland, and high school in Farmington, Hartland, Dexter and Newport, retiring in 1974. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice L. Hall; her brother, Warren Kane Jr.; and her son, Donald Hall. She is survived by two sons, Richard M. Hall and his wife, Joanne, of Dexter and Anthony W. Hall of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Virginia C. Wark and her husband, Gerald, of Sangerville; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; two special friends, Charlotte Leavitt and Tessa Clukey, both of Dexter. At her request, there will not be a funeral service. Fri-ends are invited to share memories with the family at a graveside service 1 p.m. Wed-nesday, June 20, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
