BANGOR – Elinor F. Kenoyer, 91, died Nov. 7, 2006, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born June 27, 1915, in Bangor, the daughter of Melvin and Marion (Goode) Franks. Elinor enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. She loved animals, especially her cats. Elinor enjoyed her summers at her camp on Pushaw Lake, where there were many good memories of times there. She will be dearly missed by her many longtime friends around Bangor. She is survived by a son, Lawrence L. Johnson and wife, Mary, of Saranac Lake, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Steven Johnson of Saranac Lake, N.Y., Brian, Barry and David Simmons of New Jersey. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marion Simmons in 2005; her first husband, Lloyd Johnson in 1961; and by her second husband, Robert Kenoyer. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett, director of chaplaincy services at Eastern Maine Medical Center, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
