BREWER and NEWBURGH Elizabeth E. “Betty” Libby, 79, died July 22, 2006, at a Bangor health facility. She was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Brewer, the daughter of Charles and Mar-garet (French) Wilcox. Betty, as she was known, at-tended Brewer schools, graduating from Brewer High School in 1945. She worked as a nurse at Eastern Maine Medical Center for 25 years, retiring in 1989. Betty held several jobs after retiring. She worked with the nursing pool at Eastern Maine Medical Center, as a crossing guard for Brewer schools and also at the Hampden Country Club. Surviving are two children, Robert A. Libby and his wife, Joyce, of Holden and Nancy E. Pardun and her husband, Robert, of Colorado; a grandson, Robert Dunn; two granddaughters, Lori and Michele; two great-granddaughters, Macy and Abby; one brother, Alton Wilcox of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was prede-ceased by a brother, Charles Wilcox. She will always be remembered by a special friend, Rosalie Caruso. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiley Fu-neral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
