OAKFIELD – Elizabeth Lander, 90, died Oct. 10, 2004, at Houlton. She was born Feb. 9, 1914, in Oakfield, the daughter of Harold and Della (Benn) Grant. Betty was a hair dresser in Smyrna for several years. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Crandall of Oakfield; one son, Robert Drew of Witchita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren, Beth, Bruce and his wife, DeDe, Lisa and her husband, Brian, Alison and her husband, Rick Burpee, Kenneth III and his wife, Melissa Crandall; eight great-grandchildren, Michelle, Jeff, Jeremy, Erin, Corey, Josh, Sara, Jaimie-Lynn; one great-great-granddaughter, Kaitlin; and a very close family friend, Bunny Stewart. At Betty’s request a graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at the Oakfield Cemetery with the Rev. Kirby Rushton officiating.
