COLUMBIA FALLS – Elizabeth R. “Aunt Lib” Worcester, 95, passed away, unexpectedly, Dec. 17, 2004, at the home of her niece, Priscilla. She was born Aug. 14, 1909, in Columbia Falls, the daughter of the late Jared and Susie (Watson) Rockwell. Lib graduated from Columbia Falls High School and Washington Normal School. She taught school for 43 years in Columbia Falls, Milbridge, and Jonesport, without missing a single day. She was an excellent crotchetier. Lib is survived by her niece, Joanne Gray and husband, Randy, and their son, Aaron; niece, Priscilla Worcester; nephews, Donald and Robert Tibbetts and their families; niece, Jennie Davis and husband, Jim, and their son, Andrew; several cousins, and beloved black lab, Sam. She was predeceased by her husband, George Worcester; and a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Warren Grant. Per Lib’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held in the spring.
