DOVER-FOXCROFT – Elva Pearl (Craig) Webber, 88, loving wife of the late Harry A. Webber Sr., died June 24, 2008, with her family by her side at a local hospital. She was born July 5, 1919, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Leon and Ruby (Brawn) Craig. Elva loved music. She played guitar, piano and several other musical instruments. She performed with her sister all throughout the Piscataquis region. Elva was a wonderful person. A devoted mother, dedicated grandmother, strong spirited and strong in faith, there was always a hug to be given, a lap to be rocked on, and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son, Harry A. Webber Jr. and wife, Janet; four granddaughters, Tracy Lane, Sara Welch and her husband, Kenneth, Sharon Webber, and Kristy Beane and her husband, Charles; eight great-grandchildren, Zachary, Taryn, Darien, Justin, Dakota, Jordan, Marisa and Paige; one sister, Violet Lyford and her husband, Raymond; one sister-in-law, Rebecca Craig; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry A. Webber Sr.; her daughter, Nancy E. Webber; and two brothers, Stanley and Chester Craig. A graveside memorial ser-vice will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with the Rev. Dr. Margaret Sheffield officiating. A celebration of Elva’s life will be held immediately after the service in Harter Hall at United Methodist Church, Dover-Foxcroft.
