JAY – Elva Pearl Gray, 87, passed away Monday, June 13, 2005, at her home. Elva was the born May 30, 1918, in Bancroft, the daughter of Ira A. and Bertha (Agnew) Potter. She was educated in the schools of Bancroft and graduated from Wytopitlock High in 1936. She married Alma Gray Aug. 24, 1940, in Weston, he died in January 1979. Elva worked for Forsters Manufacturing from 1967 until 1985 when she retired. Elva was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Farmington. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and having picnics with her family. Elva is survived by five daughters, Ramona Worster of Jay, Linda Jones and her husband, George, of Jay, Gwendolyn Thompson and husband, Stephen, of Jay, Lillian Cooper and husband, Steven, of Auburn, Carla Lott and husband, Marlan, of American Fork, Utah; one son, Terrence Gray and his wife, Barbara, of Sanford, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Calvin Potter and Leland Potter; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elva was predeceased by her husband; an infant son, Galen Gray; a granddaughter, Karen Worster; and a sister, Hazel Rollins. Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Adams Funeral Home 108 Court St., Farmington. Funeral 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Farmington. Interment will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 17, at the Drew Plantation Cemetery in Drew Plantation.
