ST. AGATHA – Elzear “Pit” Picard, 59, died Jan. 11, 2007, at a Presque Isle hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 24, 1947, in Grand Isle, the son of Albert and Corine (Chasse) Picard. He was a member of the St. Agatha Jaycees. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anita (Michaud) Picard of St. Agatha; two daughters, Donna Thibodeau and husband, Mike, of Frenchville and Lisa Pelletier and husband, Jason, of Birch Point; one son, Dale Picard and companion, Erin, of Old Orchard Beach; two grandchildren, Ciarra and Jared Thibodeau; two stepgrandchildren, Chantal and Michelle Pelletier; three brothers, Phil Picard of St. Agatha, Emilien Picard of Madawaska and Ronaldo Fournier of Ashford, Conn.; two sisters, Rena Dube of Manchester, Conn., and Robertine Farrell of Manchester, Conn. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Corine (Chasse) Picard; and one brother, Raymond Picard. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, and 8:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Our Lady of the Valley Church, St. Agatha, with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating.
