MADAWASKA – Emery D. Warren, 89, passed away July 23, 2006, at a Frenchville healthcare facility. He was born Aug. 25, 1916, in Boston, the son of James and Edith (Townsend) Warren. Emery was orphaned at a very young age and grew up in several foster homes. He always claimed this was what gave him his great sense of humor and an appreciation for all he had in life. Emery was a life member of the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts, the National Rifle Association, the American Legion and he served his country in combat during World War II. In addition to his parents, Emery was predeceased in 1990 by his wife of nearly 50 years, Irene Carrier Warren. Emery is survived by many special friends, Michael and Micheline Dahlgren and their children, Valerie and Thomas, Maurice and Norma Morin, David and Beatrice Bossie and their daughter, Sheri Egypt and Imelda (Millie) Dumond, all of Madawaska, Gloria Martinengo of Mountain View, Calif. and the whole gang at Crystal Lynn’s. Emery was very proud to have personally known Michael’s late father, Edward C. Dahlgren, a World War II recipient of the Medal of Honor. He also thought the world of Harry Truman. In keeping with Emery’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours or services. Emery’s friends will gather in late summer for a personal celebration of his life.
