BANGOR – Emile J. Therrien, 91, husband of the late Imelda C. Therrien, died March 9, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1914, in St. Basile, N.B., the son of Raymond and Madeleine (Cyr) Therrien. Emile was a World War II veteran serving in the North African and Italian Campaigns with the First Canadian Army, 3rd Battalion, Carleton-York Regiment. He was retired from the maintenance department of the Bangor Daily News and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Parish. He is survived by a son, Maurice Therrien of Vancouver, B.C.; two daughters, Lorraine Therrien of Bangor and Rachel Therrien of Augusta; two grandchildren, Anah Lamonthe and Marc-Emile Therrien; two great-grandchildren, Saren and Jazz; three brothers, Fred of Riviere Verte, N.B., Edmond of Edmunston, N.B. and Leon and his wife, Dorina, of Riviere Verte, N.B.; two stepsisters, Jeanne Saint Onge and Lorette Ringuette, both of Edmunston, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Abel and Felix Therrien. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where an evening prayer service will be held 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
