EAGLE LAKE and SOLDIER POND – Emma (Labbe) Blanchette, 94, died May 18, 2006, at an Eagle Lake healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 22, 1912, in Wallagrass, the daughter of Aime and Flavie (Albert) Labbe. Emma was a member of Union St. Jean Baptist and the Ladies of St. Anne, both of Wallagrass. Emma was a seamstress, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also loved spending time in her flower garden. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Joan T. Sylvain; and son-in-law, Albert “Leonard” Sylvain, whom she loved as her son, both of Fort Kent; two special in-laws, Lorreen Ouellette of Plainville, Conn., and Raoul Blanchette of New Britian, Conn. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until time of departure for Soldier Pond, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Soldier Pond. Committal services will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Wallagrass.
