BELFAST – Emma Marjorie Snow passed away April 12, 2006, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 15, 1912, in Waldo, the daughter of David and Minnie (Jackson) Smith. She graduated with honors from Crosby High School and went on to obtain a two-year degree from Husson Collage. She worked in the office of a local shoe factory for several years. On Sept. 5, 1936, Marjorie married George Harvey Snow, who predeceased her in 1994. She lived the last 15 years of her life at Tall Pines Living Center where she made many friends and was loved by all who cared for her. Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Gail Smith of Belfast and Pamela Snow of Harrison; three grandsons, David, Michael and Peter Smith; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her sisters, Gladys Eastman, Mabel Calhoun, Lulu Cayer; and brother Harold Smith. According to her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A committal service for family and friends will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Grove Cemetery, Belfast.
