MANCHESTER, Conn. – Enoil Robert “Bob” Gervais, 62, of Manchester, passed away peacefully, July 26, 2005, at home, surrounded by his loving family members and friends. Born May 31, 1943, in Montreal, Canada, he was the son of the late Gertrude (Cyr) and Roger Gervais. Bob left behind his long time companion, Leah Roy and stepchildren, Carla Wyman, Cheryl Champ, Kevin Roy and a very special stepdaughter, Dee Ross, who was his right arm, and was always there for him through many ordeals for many years; 12 stepgrandchildren, one great-stepgrandson, all from Connecticut. He is also survived by his son, Robert “Bobby” Gervais of Canada; and his daughter, Sheila of Iowa; and three grandchildren; his loving siblings, who will greatly miss him, Gerard and Claude of Connecticut, Daniel of Vermont, Bertin, Jacques, and Hector of Canada, Rachelle of California, Ginette of Connecticut, Nicole, Denise and Colette of Canada, and Diane of West Virginia. He also leaves behind his stepmother, Claire Gervais; stepsisters, Claire, Gerry, Cathy; and his stepbrother, Don Picard, all of Connecticut. Bob has many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles both in Canada and the U.S. He was also predeceased by his stepbrother, Al Picard of Connecticut. His dear friends will greatly miss him. Bob loved the outdoors, his walks in the park, dancing, playing pool, cookouts and movies. He loved traveling in his really cool truck, the “Blazin Blazer”. Bob also loved jazz music, among other favorites. Bob had worked for Colt Firearms in Connecticut since 1965. Bob was a good son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, with a kind, loving and caring heart. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at the St. Leonard Cemetery, Canada. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester, Conn. has care of arrangements.
