HERMON – Erica R. May, 59, died June 15, 2005, at Orono Commons after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Bangor, the daughter of Louis Segal and the late Vicki (Seplin) Segal. Erica attended Bangor High School and Chandler College in Boston. She had a great love for horses and especially riding and showing her Morgan “Schoolboy” winning many show prizes and First Place Ribbons throughout Maine. Erica had a passion for antiques and art which she and her husband collected over the years. She was an avid reader and had a great thirst for learning. Erica was also an excellent cook. In addition to her father of Bangor, she is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, John A. May of Hermon; a daughter, Karen Chambrello, of Pomfret Center, Conn.; a brother, Lance Segal, of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Kenny, Emma, and Oliva. In addition she will be sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and by her many friends that knew her and loved her. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Orono Commons for their professionalism, kindness and loving care. Funeral services will be private for the family.
