BANGOR – Erline P. LeClair, 89, died Oct. 18, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was born July 13, 1916, in Auburn, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Smith) Mulligan. Erline graduated from Bangor High School in 1933. She worked for Sings Laundry for several years and then 31 years at the Cortell-Segals ladies store. In her retirement years, she worked part-time at the Rich’s department store. She was an active member of the Advent Christian Church of Bangor. She is survived by one nephew, Thomas W. Helms Sr. and his wife, MaryLou, of Orrington; a niece through marriage, Mrs. Ralph J. Helms Jr. (Judy) of Louisiana; several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold LeClair; one sister, Edna Helms; a special nephew, Ralph J. Helms Jr. of Louisiana. Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of service at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Clayton Blackstone officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot, Lawndale Cemetery, Stillwater. A special thank-you to the staff at Westgate Manor.
