STEUBEN – Ernest E. Galen, 72, passed away unexpectedly, Aug. 19, 2005. He was born Feb. 6, 1933, in Cherryfield, the son of the late Bertha Galen. Ernest was an Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He worked for several years as a truck driver for moving and storage companies in the Bangor area. After moving Down East, he worked for Cherryfield Foods until his retirement. Ernest enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children; son, Randy Galen of Veazie; daughter, Lisa Tucker and her husband, Mark, of Denham Springs, La.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katie Tucker of Louisiana; two great-granddaughters, Danielle and Emily Tate of Louisiana; twin brother, Russell Galen, of Maryland; sister, Ramona Worcester, of Cherryfield; an aunt, Kathleen Perry, of Cherryfield; an uncle, James Galen, of Levant; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved dog, Dakota. He was predeceased by a sister, Sybil Hall, of Harrington. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at the Morse Cemetery in Cherryfield.
