CARY PLANTATION – Ernest Keaton Sr., 62, died May 3, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1945, in Houlton, the son of Clarence and Norma (Boles) Keaton. Ernest was employed several years for Colin Bartlett and then with Georgia Pacific. He had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid sportsman; he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and fourwheeling, and spending time with his family and playing cards with the Boys. He is survived by his mother of Cary; wife, Dorothy (Buxton) Keaton of Cary; one son, Ernest Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, and their daughter, Amber Lynn, all of Cary; one daughter, Rebecca S. Cross and her husband, Wayne, and their sons, Owen and Wendel, all of Carmel; one brother, Clarence W. of Cary; and two sisters, Anna Boyce of Blaine and Paula Melroy of Ohio. He was predeceased by his father; and brother, James A. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
