ERNESTINE LOUISE (CLARK) BURGESS

KENDUSKEAG – Ernestine Louise (Clark) Burgess died Aug. 6, 2006 at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 16, 1931, in Bangor, daughter of Linwood Clark and Eleanor (Taylor) Clark. She attended Brewer schools and married Ernest Elias Burgess Dec. 31, 1946. After raising her family, she returned to school and earned her LPN from Eastern Maine Technical College and her RN from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1981. She loved to travel, fly airplanes and ride her motorcycle. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, in 1999, and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Rosalie Jean Rollins, wife of Richard Rollins, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; her daughter Mary-Lynne Eason of Brewer; her son Ernest Burgess Jr. and fiance, Mary Kimbrell, of East Corinth; beloved grandchildren, Shawn Elias Burgess of Bangor, Frankie Bryanne (Wetmore) Ficarelli, wife of Matt Ficarelli, of Orlando, Fla., Douglas Wetmore IV, husband of Rosena, of Guilford, Gretchen Marie Burgess of Richmond, Va., Patrick Elias Eason of Brewer, Sarah Elizabeth Eason of Bangor, Ashly Burgess of Bangor, Shannon and Jack Stefanik of Brewer and Mandy and Joey Ouellette of Brewer; great-grandchildren, Hope and Alex Wetmore of Apache Junction, Ariz., Trey and Alyssandra Stefanik of Brewer and Dominique Ouellette of Brewer; special nieces, Diane Martin, wife of James Martin, of East Corinth, Donna Pierce, wife of Ernie Phillips, of Glenburn and Linwood and Nancy Clark of Kenduskeag; special sister-in-law, Jeannie Clark of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau celebrant.
