HOULTON – Ervin W. Drake, 85, died Feb. 5, 2006, at Houlton. He was born July 24, 1920, in Little-ton, the son of Leroy and Emily (McCordic) Drake. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Chester L. Briggs American Legion Post No. 47 Houlton, the Littleton United Baptist Church and worked at Allied Sales for 37 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cleo (Adams) Drake of Houlton; one son, Virgil “Joe” Drake of Littleton; one daughter, Emily Currier and her companion, Tom Greenlaw, of Houlton; six grandchildren, Shona and her husband, Stan Murphy, Sherri Drake, Shelly and her husband, James Merritt, Kelly and her husband, Bob Stevens, Adam and his wife, Sara Drake and Amy and her husband, David Cardona; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Thelma and her husband, Bob Saucier, of Saco. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Hazen Drake; and one great-grandson, Eric Hatcher. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Steve Straubel, officiating.
