MADAWASKA – Estelle Bard, 87, died Dec. 19, 2005, at a Madawaska nursing home. She was born June 22, 1918, in St. David, the daughter of Rene’ and Agnes (Cyr) Hebert. She had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 147 of Madawaska for 13 years. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Claude Bard of Madawaska; three daughters, Marilyn Bard, Norma Berube and her husband, Dan, all of Madawaska, Rachel Bates and her husband, Chester, of Sullivan; two sons, Raynold Bard and his wife, Therese, of Baton Rouge, La. and Roderick Bard and his wife, Barbara, of Hooksett, N.H.; one sister, Marie Hebert of Madawaska; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. Friday until time of services at the Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
