HUDSON and ORONO – Eva C. (Allen) Bostwick, 84, passed away peacefully at a Bangor hospital March 19, 2004, with her family by her side. She was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Bangor, the daughter of Guy and Mary Ella (Thomas) Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Merlene Thibodeau; two sons, Guy H. Doughty and his wife, Evelyn, Clyde T. Bostwick and Penny; one brother, Carl Allen and his wife, Dot; five grandchildren, Lisa VanDez, Staff Sergeant Guy M. Doughty and his wife, Ami, Beverly York and her husband, Jeremy, Anne McFarland and her husband, Adam, Amy Bostwick; four great-grandchildren, Steven VanDez, Daniel McFarland, Zachary and Ashley York; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Paul, Guy W. and Alonzo Allen; her son, Allen Rogers; and her grandson, Allen Floyd Doughty. Clyde and Penny would like to offer a special thanks to Carl and Dot Allen for all their help and to the staff at Orono Commons. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Pastor Gregory DuBois, of the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church, officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of the service on Tuesday. Spring interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Glenburn.
