MILBRIDGE – Evelyn Arlene Newenham was passed from the loving arms of her children into waiting arms of her eternal family, Dec. 21, 2005. Evelyn was born March 4, 1932, in Milbridge, the daughter of the late Curtis and Lillian (Jones) Robinson. Evelyn spent a great deal of her life as a caregiver to others. She was employed at the old Bangor State Hospital for several years before returning to Milbridge. She was a private caregiver and housekeeper in Milbridge before becoming employed at a local nursing home. While employed there she worked at a variety of jobs and saw the facility through many changes and growth. After 30 years of employment, she retired as a supervisor of housekeeping and maintenance in 1995. Evelyn was a volunteer member of Petit Manan Ambulance in its infancy, was a member of the Milbridge Alumni Association and was an active volunteer at the Milbridge Historical Society until her health declined. Evelyn took great pride in her family and was always present at family events and the activities of her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and John Chipman; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carol Newenham; her grandchildren, Chris and Monica Chipman, Jason Chipman and fianc?e, Elisabeth Hammond, Katharina Brooks, Laurissa Nadeau and fianc?, Richard Faulkingham, Anthony Nadeau, and the granddaughter who brought so much pleasure to her during the past five years, Shaunae’ Rose Newenham; her sister, Edith Kelley; and sister-in-law, Edythe Robinson, as well as several dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Everett, Richard, and Robert; and sisters, Agnes Tinker, Juanita Drisko, and Lucretia Morse. A service of remembrance for her will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge. Spring interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge. The family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Milbridge Historical Society Building Fund, P.O.
