CARIBOU – Evelyn Lois Kenney, 74, of Stuart, Florida, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Martin Memorial Hospital South in Stuart. She was born at Caribou, Oct. 31, 1929, the daughter of the late Henry and Iva Ruth (Johnson) Haines. She resided in Caribou until moving to Stuart, Fla. in 1980. Her life-long career was a proprietor/homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill “William” Kenney in 2002. She is survived by her sister, Ola McAtee of Caribou; her daughter, Brenda Walton of Sebring, Fla.; her son, Duane Walton and his wife, Mary, of Caribou; her grandchildren, Kelly Arnold of Stuart, Fla., Scott Walton of Old Town, Jessica Walton of Belfast, Sandi McDonald of Bangor and Bobbi Tribou of Holden; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at the chapel of Young & Prill Funeral Home in Stuart, Fla. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, with the Rev. Raymond Gamble, officiating. Graveside memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou. Family and friends are invited to the Walton home directly following the service. Local arrangements are by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
