MARSHFIELD – Everett J. Demmons, 38, died Oct. 10, 2003, at Courtland Rehab Center in Ellsworth, where he spent the last year of his life. He lived and worked most of his life in the Marshfield and Machias area. Everett attended school in Machias and graduated from diver’s school in Texas, where he was employed for some time. He is survived by his mother, Mary Mallory, and step-father, Gene Mallory of Marshfield; father, William Demmons and step-mother, Lisa, of Portland; the love of his life, his daughter, Keila Sue; grandmother, Lillian Gray of Marshfield; sister, Annamarie Girard and friend, Paul Benevides, of East Machias; sister, Linda Vane and brother-in-law, Donnie, of East Machais; sister, Tammy Johnson and brother-in-law, Everett Johnson, of Jonesport; nieces and nephews that loved him very much; uncles and aunts, Perley and Kathy Gray, Annette and Galen Wilcox; also several cousins; and a very special friend, Greg Girard; and a special cousin, Todd Gray of Machias; many other great friends. He received excellent care at Courtland and had many great friends there. Everett was blessed with an angel that took care of him to the end. Memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Oct. 17, at Courtland in Ellsworth. Graveside service 2 p.m. Oct. 19, in Marshfield at Joseph Getchell Cemetery.
