BREWER – Fannie May Raatikainen, 96, passed away May 18, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1910, in Bucksport, the daughter of Frank Ryder and Annie May Stubbs. Fannie grew up in Bucksport. She assisted both of her husbands in the operation of several poultry farms in Waldo County. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Fannie greatly enjoyed living at the Ellen M. Leach Home. She is survived by two sons, Rodney F. Hutchings Jr. and wife, Shirley, of Arizona and Robert K. Hutchings Sr. and wife, Annabelle Marie, of Glenburn; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Rodney F. Hutchings Sr. and George Raatikainen; and two sons, Donald and Albert Hutchings. Her family extends at heart felt thanks to the staff and nurses of the EMMC, emergency room and the sixth floor. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Rick Lambert officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
