FORT KENT – Fern M. (Pelletier) Knight, 88, beloved wife of the late Philip Knight, died June 24, 2004, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born May 7, 1916, in St. Francis, the daughter of Raymond D. and Mattie (Nadeau) Pelletier. She was a graduate of Fort Kent Community High School in 1934. She lived in Lubec and she was a secretary for the Booth Co., (a fish packing co.) in Lubec. She moved back to Fort Kent in 1974 and worked for the Fort Kent Telephone Co., and the Daigle Oil Co. and was a secretary for Judge Arthur Nadeau Sr. and attorney Roland page. She is survived by a sister, Loretta and her husband, Omer Thibodeau; sister-in-law, Loretta Pelletier, both of Fort Kent; a special friend, Juliette Dumond; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1973; four sisters, Nicie, Oleda Heade, Albertine Breen Furlong and Francis Fielding; three brothers, Ran-dolph, Leo and Edwin “Kit” Pelletier. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, 8 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating.
