MILLINOCKET – Florence A. Quinn, 90, died at a local hospital on Monday, Aug. 30, 2004. She was born in Fort Augustus, Prince Edward Island on March 23, 1914, the daughter of Patrick and Annie (McAdam) Quinn. As a longtime resident of Millinocket, Florence graduated from Stearns High School and was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Florence was known for her work as a professional seamstress and homemaker. Although she never married, Florence cared for her elderly parents until their death. Florence appreciated the simple pleasures of life, enjoyed her family, and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She is survived by a special aunt, Melvina McAdam; several cousins, nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Patty Bryant. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Albano, Edna Tibbetts, Kathleen Needham, Marcella Carlstrom, Annie Smart, Martha Megno, George Quinn, Frank Quinn, Charles Quinn, and Patrick “Abby” Quinn. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 at R. L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Millinocket. Burial will follow in Millinocket Cemetery.
