FRENCHVILLE – Florence M. (Kent) Corbin, 82, died Jan. 2, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 9, 1925, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Paul and Alice (Bard) Charette. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She is survived by one son, Vernon F. Kent Jr. of Frenchville; and two daughters, Diana E. Lavertu of Frenchville and Sylvia Sheridan of Kingman, Ariz.; one grandson, Simon G. Lavertu of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Alberie Charette of Van Buren and Alvena Charette of Eagle Lake; and one sister, Azelie Ardenski of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her first husband, Vernon F. Kent; and second husband, Louman Corbin. Friends and relatives may call 9-10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Michaud Funeral Home, Frenchville, where a memorial service will be held 10 a.m. with the Rev. Philip Cyr officiating.
