ST. FRANCIS – Flossie Ouellette, 86, died March 21, 2004, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born July 4, 1917, in St. John, the daughter of Rueben and Annie (Morin) Sturgeon. Flossie was a hardworking woman, and she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her 11 children, Shirley Simone, Doris Thibodeau, both of Caribou, Thelma Kelly of New Sweden, Pauline Nadeau of St. Francis, Adolphe Ouellette Jr. of Spokane, Wash., Franklin Ouellette of Bangor, Bertha Hotchkiss of Tucson, Ariz., Verna O’Leary of Caribou, Leola Onerato of Kenduskeag, Thomas Pelletier of St. Francis, Gordon Pelletier of Hermon; one stepson, Roland Soucy; 37 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Adolphe Ouellette Sr. and Leo J. Pelletier; seven children in infancy; four stepchildren; and five brothers. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent, 7-9 p.m. Friday and 12 noon Saturday until the time of departure for St. John. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. John Bible Church with Pastor Mark Ruggerio officiating. Spring burial will be held in the St. John Bible Church Cemetery.
