MAPLETON – Floyd H. Braley, 95, died Monday evening, April 2, 2007, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born Aug. 5, 1911, in Mapleton, the son of Herbert and Katherine (Locke) Braley. He worked for 18 years for the state highway department and retired as a foreman. He is survived by four children and 18 grandchildren, a son, Earlan and his wife, Virginia, of Spanish Fork, Utah, and their children, Jolynn Clegg, Janell Adams, Jerod, Kalen, Kurtis, and Kordell Braley, three daughters, Nancy (Braley) Renfroe of Leesburg, Fla., and children of she and the late Cohen Sr. Renfroe, Lori Hogan and Cohen Renfroe Jr., Necia (Braley) Daigle and her husband, Sherman, of Fort Kent, and their children, Kyle, Tim, Scott Daigle, and Beth King, Judy (Braley) Wade of McGraw, N.Y., and the children of she and the late Robert Wade, Steve and Alan Wade; a daughter-in-law, Janet (Buck) Braley of Waldoboro, and the children of she and his son, the late Norris D. Braley, Graydon, Glendon, Griffith Braley, and Gayla Dever; 46 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Omar Braley of Caribou. Floyd was predeceased by his wife, Edith (Akeley) Braley; a son, Norris D.; four brothers, Elwood, Harry, Roland and Elton Braley; two sons-in-law, Robert Wade, and Cohen Renfroe Sr. A memorial service will be held in June at Mapleton United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton. Donations may be made in his memory to Mapleton United Methodist Church, P.O.
